The Truman Lake Adventure Race finds its home on the beautiful waters of Truman Lake at the Northern edge of the Missouri Ozarks. Come experience the down home hospitality of Warsaw, MO.

Race Date: Saturday - April 17th, 2010

Racer Check-in: Friday - April 16th, 5-7:30 PM
Race Meeting: Friday - April 16th, 8:00 PM - Warsaw Community Center

Course: Long Course 14 hour limit - top teams will finish in 7-8+ hours.
Sprint Course 6 hour limit - top teams will finish in 2-3+ hours.

Distance: Long 45-55 miles
Sprint 10 -20 miles

Disciplines: Kayak/Canoe, Mountain Bike, Trek, Navigation

Format: Unsupported - Long Course - Solo, 2 Person, 3 Person and 4 Person
Short Course - 2 person teams ONLY

Solos must submit an adventure racing resume to ksumner11@embarqmail.com and receive approval from the race director before registering.

Divisions: Coed, Open - Premier Division is Long Course Four Person Coed (Must be premier to receive cash prizes)

Age Limit: 16 and over. Any team with an athlete under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian of that athlete on the team.

Entry Fee Per Person:---- $85-long -- $55-short per person until 3/31/10

Registration includes canoe, PFD and paddle rental, land use fees, insurance, maps and detailed race instructions.

Race Start Time: Long Course 6:00 AM
Short Course 11:00 AM

Mountain Bike - Single track, jeep trail and paved roads - Long 25-35 miles - Short 4 - 6 miles
Trail Run/Trek On and off trail - Long 8-12 miles - Short 3-5 miles Orienteering, Compass & Map Navigation
Canoe/Kayaking - Long 8-12 miles - Short 2-4 miles

The paddle portion of the race will be on Truman Lake or the Osage River. Canoes, paddles and PFD's are provided to two, three and four person teams and are included in the entry price. Three person teams will be in one canoe. It is strongly recommended three person teams bring a portable canoe seat for the third person. Solo racers will be required to provide their own canoe or kayak, paddle and PFD and will be required to drop and pick up their boat before and after the race.
